This year’s tournament will see a record number of participating teams from the Yellow Submarine’s academies.

The upcoming edition of the Villarreal Yellow Cup Summer youth football tournament, to be held from 27th to 30th June, will have unprecedented participation from Villarreal’s partner academies from around the world. This year, an all-time record has been reached with the registration of academies from Sydney, Brisbane, Las Vegas, Philippines, Virginia, Mexico, Kuwait and even a select team of players from the Yellows’ academies across North America.

This remarkable increase in international participation reflects the excellent work being done outside of Spain in the development of young talents. This record is a testament to the commitment and quality of our global academies.

The Villarreal Yellow Cup Summer has established itself as a stand-out event on the grassroots football calendar, and the inclusion of so many Villarreal CF academies from different corners of the world promises to make it a high-level competition and a celebration of global grassroots talent.
