Villarreal Yellow Cup Easter

The Villarreal Yellow Cup Easter is a youth soccer tournament that offers the possibility to celebrate Holy Week in a unique and special way with your teammates in the wonderful tourist area of Benicasim, place that has the largest number of blue flags of the whole Mediterranean awarded by the European Union and at the same time practicing soccer in one of the best sport facilities in the nation, such as the Ciudad Deportiva del Villarreal CF or the Ciudad Deportiva Pamesa Cerámica.

This base football tournament has a brilliant list of teams from all over Spain and other countries as  well who will meet for 4 days to share experiences that will never forget for the rest of their lives.

During this great football tournament, a host of complementary activities are programmed that will make you enjoy even more, such as visiting the 'Estadio de la Cerámica', welcome cocktail, gala dinner for the coaches, great party of the Tournament with the distribution of medals, attractions in the fields and the Fanzone grogueta.


Program 2023

Thursday, April 6 th

Arrival at the place of accommodation with the distribution of the documentation of the tournament, wristband and the official gift of the tournament.

Saturday, April 8 th

Competitions will be in the morning. Great party of the tournament and delivery of medals + Cocktail for family and guests (accreditation bracelet). Gala dinner for representatives of each club.

Friday, April 7 th

Start of the competition with the matches throughout the day. Visit to the Estadio de la Cerámica for all participants and companions (wristband).

Sunday, April 9 th

Last day of the Villarreal Yellow Cup Easter and the closing ceremony of the tournament with the presentation of trophies for all the champions and runners-up of the participating categories.

The regulation of the Villarreal Yellow Cup Easter will be based on the FIFA’s rules and the additional rules of the RFEF, except for the particular modifications imposed by our tournament.


A group stage will be played between the participating teams, which will face each other. The classification in the group stage will decide which teams will go to the final stage.

A minimum of 4 matches.


  • Won math: 3 points.
  • Tied match: 1 point.
  • Lost match: 0 points.

If the teams tie at the end of the group stage, the classification criteria will be:

  • Goal - general average.
  • Team with more goals in favor.
  • Goal - particular average.
  • Fair play

The final phase will be held in a single match and in case of a draw a penalty shoot-out will be launched.

  • Football 7: Three penalty shootout.
  • Football 11: Five penalty shootout.


  • Football 7: 1 part of 25 minutes
  • Football 11: 1 part of 40 minutes


  • Football 7: 2 parts of 20 minutes
  • Football 11: 2 parts of 25 minutes

The breaks will be in the same pitch and will be 4 minutes.

The schedules must be followed strictly.

The teams must be ready 10 minutes before each game.

In the case of non-appearance, the result will be 3-0.

If a team is expelled from the competition, the matches that have been contested will not be valid.


A team can stop the game 3 times per game and carry out the maximum possible changes of the team in each game break.

Changes made during the break are not counted.

A team can take advantage of the breakdowns of the other team to replace the maximum number of possible players on the team.


All teams must provide the supporting documentation - full name, date of birth and ID a month before their arrival to the concentration to verify the relationship of players and activate the private or federative medical insurance that will cover the competition.


All matches will be directed by referees of the Valencian Referees Association.

The referee will be the highest authority in the field and will be entitled to suspend, if he / she appreciates repeated bad behavior in any of the participating teams, determining the competition committee what sanction to apply.


  • If a player gets a red card for violent and / or unprofessional conduct to any member of the tournament, the player will be suspended with one or more matches with possible expulsion from the tournament. This will be decided by the competition committee.
  • Three yellow cards during the championship will be a penalty game.
  • If a team or player demonstrates a violent attitude during the competition, they can be automatically expelled from the tournament.


It will be formed by 3 players or ex-soccer players, a representative of the organization in the tournament, and a lawyer specialized in sports law.

They will analyze all the incidents of the day and their decisions will be unappealable.


The organization will provide the balls for the matches.

The organization will NOT provide balls for warming up.

In case of coincidence in the color of the luggage, the team that appears as a visitor in the calendar must change their luggage.


Each club will be responsible for the behavior of its players, companions and relatives, both on and off the field. Bad behavior can lead to expulsion from the tournament.

A bad behavior in the hotels where the teams will stay can lead to restriction of the accommodation and food services without the organization be responsible of it.


All delegates have to check that their players are medically insured inside and outside the field.

Sports facilities have first aid services.

The organization of the tournament will not be responsible for theft or accidents.

Participation in the tournament guarantees medical insurance for their players during the competition according to their established regime, provided they are registered correctly and before the established period (* 7. DOCUMENTATION).

*In case of need, the organization can make the necessary modifications for a better performance of the tournament.
