Two U16 teams enjoy an experience with Villarreal CF

The Hampton School delegation arrived on Sunday to begin its football experience with Villarreal CF on Monday. The programme combined training sessions based on the club’s methodology, friendly matches and activities offering a closer insight into the Yellow Submarine.

The visit featured two age-group teams in the U16 category. On Monday morning, the players took part in a training session following Villarreal CF’s methodology. Afterwards, they received a welcome from Miguel Ángel Tena, the club’s Director of Football.

In the afternoon, both teams played their first friendly matches. One side faced Villarreal CF’s Cadete B team, while the other took on Cadete Fundación Villarreal.

The experience continued on Tuesday with another training session, followed by the Villarreal CF Immersion Tour. During the tour, the Hampton School players had the opportunity to learn more about the club’s history and identity by visiting the Yellow Submarine’s home ground, the Estadio de la Cerámica, known as the Yellow Temple.

The day concluded with a second round of friendly matches. One team faced Villarreal CF’s Infantil A side, while the other played against Infantil B Roda.

Hampton School’s visit brought together football development, competitive experience and an insight into the club, allowing the players to experience Villarreal CF’s training methodology and professional environment first-hand.
