Romanian youth academy announces its debut and strengthen ties with Villarreal CF.

ASFC Interstar Sibiu, a club from the city of Sibiu in Transylvania, central Romania, will play for the first time in Villarreal Club de Fútbol's Easter tournament. The club is recognized as one of the best soccer academies in the country, especially for its focus on developing promising young players. Such is the dedication to emerging talent that the club has no amateur teams. ASFC Interstar Sibiu is by and for youth.

The Romanian club is the oldest in the country in terms of player training, having been developing players for more than 20 years. The model is having an effect and they recently won the U16 Elite Cup.

The Cibinenses, with their minds set on the medium/long term and following small steps to achieve their goals, joined forces with Villarreal CF this November. Interstar Sibiu and Villarreal Club de Fútbol, with the collaboration of the company Football Events Spain, held a joint campus with more than one hundred players from the Romanian club.

Now, after the successes achieved, they arrive at the Villarreal Yellow Cup Easter to debut in the competition and close a season that continues to strengthen international ties between Sibiu and Vila-real.
