GOAZEN GARES

Monday, 03 February 2025 11:00

CD Gares is already preparing its debut for the Villarreal Yellow Cup.

From Puente la Reina to Vila-real! CD Gares is proud to join the line-up of one of the biggest international base soccer tournaments: the Villarreal Yellow Cup Easter. This prestigious competition will bring together in the Ciudad Deportiva José Manuel Llaneza the most influential youth teams in the world, becoming a showcase for the youngest players to demonstrate their game and their values.

Club Deportivo Gares was born in 1966 in the valley of Valdizarbe, located in Puente la Reina, in the region of Navarra, a few kilometers from the capital of the community, Pamplona. Despite having a population of less than three thousand inhabitants, this municipality was a pioneer in Navarrese soccer, having a men's and a women's team since its early years.

The Valdizarbe Valley team was born with a clear idea: to be a club for everyone. The Navarrese did not only want to be a team for soccer players and fans, but also wanted to bring together companies, businesses, restaurants, etc. in the area under a set of colors and a spirit that has been rooted for a long time. CD Gares is an example of the soccer that makes this sport great, the modest and 'neighborhood' soccer.

The 'garestarra' academy has been the seed that has given way to the growth of the club. Since 1992, when the youth team was born, there has been a constant stream of teams in all categories that compete on a weekly basis and proudly feel and defend the maroon color.

CD Gares, which has already competed in national tournaments, has in the Villarreal Yellow Cup Easter an opportunity to show the world what a 'garestarra' is made of.
