From 27th to 31st October, the CFR Sibiu Stadium hosted the Villarreal CF Campus, a footballing experience that brought together young players eager to improve and learn under the methodology of a Champions League club.

Over the course of five intensive days, participants enjoyed technical and tactical training sessions in small groups, led by Villarreal CF coaches, who shared the values, philosophy and playing style that characterise the Yellows Academy.

The work carried out by the Villarreal CF Camps and Tournaments Department, in collaboration with its partner Football Events Spain, has naturally strengthened the Villarreal brand in Romania and paved the way for new agreements, such as the launch of the first official Villarreal CF academy in Romania – Villarreal Sibiu Academy – which is now a reality.

Through this initiative, Villarreal CF, via its campus programme, reinforce their commitment to the sporting and personal development of young footballers around the world, consolidating the club’s international expansion and offering new opportunities for talent development in Eastern Europe.
