Historic participation in the Villarreal Yellow Cup, surpassing all previous records.

Vila-real will once again become the epicentre of international grassroots football with the celebration of the Villarreal Yellow Cup Easter, a tournament that will bring together around a hundred clubs and thousands of young footballers in a new edition full of excitement and talent.

The prestigious youth development tournament organised by Villarreal CF will be played over four intense days and will once again break participation records. The competition will take place from 2 to 5 April and will bring together close to 4,000 players across 10 categories, from U8 to U19, all aiming to lift the iconic Yellow Submarine trophy.

The tournament will feature 268 teams representing 101 clubs from around the world, consolidating its international character and continued growth year after year. Delegations from the United States, Canada, Colombia, Brazil, Puerto Rico, New Zealand, Armenia, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Romania will travel to Vila-real to take part in the Villarreal Yellow Cup, where they will enjoy several days of football, friendship and excitement in a unique atmosphere.

At national level, the Yellow Cup will also welcome a strong representation of teams from across Spain. Clubs from the Community of Madrid, Catalonia, the Basque Country, Cantabria, the Balearic Islands, the Canary Islands, Navarre, La Rioja, Castilla-La Mancha, Castilla y León, Andalusia, Extremadura, Aragon and the Valencian Community will compete with the ambition of delivering memorable performances and leaving their mark on the renowned tournament organised by the Yellow Submarine.

The young players, full of enthusiasm and passion for the sport, will compete across 12 sports venues in an edition that also sets a new record for host municipalities. Matches will be played at facilities located in Vila-real, Les Alqueries, Benicàssim, Almassora, Nules and La Vall d’Uixó, further expanding the tournament’s territorial reach and contributing to the growth of the province of Castellón. Specifically, games will be held at the José Manuel Llaneza Training Ground, Pamesa Cerámica Training Ground, CEM Pau Francisco Torres, Fundación Flors Football Ground, Torre San Vicente Football Ground, La Carrerassa Football Ground, José Manuel Pesudo Football Ground, Les Boqueres Football Ground, Les Alqueries Football Ground, José Mangriñán Stadium, La Moleta Football Ground and Noulas Antonio Pérez Balada Football Ground.

The competition will begin with a spectacular opening ceremony on the afternoon of Thursday 2 April at the iconic Estadio de la Cerámica, home of the Yellow Submarine. The stadium will open its doors to welcome the participating teams, who will parade one by one across the pitch in a ceremony full of symbolism and excitement. Throughout the tournament, around 20,000 fans, family members and football lovers are expected to visit the venues, joining in the passion and enthusiasm of this iconic grassroots football competition.

All that remains now is for the ball to start rolling in this historic edition of the Villarreal Yellow Cup. During the tournament, 628 matches will be played across 31 pitches, with a total of 67 groups battling to stand out. Many teams will arrive dreaming of lifting the coveted Yellow Submarine trophy, but only 10 will succeed at the end of this great tournament, becoming the protagonists of an unforgettable experience that will remain forever in the history of grassroots football.


The Villarreal Yellow Cup Easter once again reaffirms its status as the most important grassroots football tournament in the Valencian Community and, without doubt, one of the national benchmarks during the Easter period, where young players can experience football just as they have always dreamed.
