The Cantera Granota side returns for its 13th appearance in the Groguet tournament
Levante UD will take part in the Villarreal Yellow Cup Easter for the thirteenth time, reinforcing its position as one of the professional clubs with the longest consecutive participation records in the Groguet tournament. The Valencia-based club will return to Vila-real to highlight the reputation of an academy that has made youth development one of the defining pillars of its identity.
Levante UD’s history in the official youth football tournaments organised by Villarreal CF is marked by success. Behind the host club, the Granota side stands among the most decorated teams in these competitions, with a total of 13 titles: eight won in boys’ categories and five in girls’ categories. This record makes Levante UD the most successful club in the girls’ competitions and reflects the strength of its youth development programme across both sides of the game.
Much of this recognition stems from the work carried out throughout the club’s academy structure, where talent development, methodology and a commitment to helping young players progress form the foundations of a project capable of producing footballers for the professional game. Players such as Andrés García, Marc Pubill and Carlos Espí exemplify the potential of an academy that has helped develop talent capable of making its mark at the highest level.
Now, the Granotas return to the Yellow Cup Easter determined to build on their legacy in the tournament and once again showcase the quality of their academy. It is another opportunity for the next generation of Levante UD players to represent their colours in Vila-real and add a new chapter to a long-standing relationship with Groguet youth football.
