The British school finishes its Training Camp today at Villarreal CF's Ciudad Deportiva.
The Accrington Academy is a secondary school in the west of the United Kingdom with a mission to educate students socially and educationally and to transform their lives. The organisation, which puts its members above all else, is underpinned by seven core values: honesty —to myself and others—, forgiveness, effort, resilience, ambition, motivation and respect.
The expedition, which arrived in Vila-real last Friday, landed in the capital of La Plana with 48 players between 12 and 16 years old belonging to four teams of the academy. The Training Camp began with an afternoon training session at the Ciudad Deportiva José Manuel Llaneza where the youngsters learned from the Cantera Grogueta staff. The Accrington Academy, who had the day off on Saturday, returned to training on Sunday with a morning session in which they went deeper into the technical and tactical aspects, showing excellent results.
Today, the last day of their stay, the players will have a final training session, will receive an official personalised diploma accrediting them as participants in the Villarreal Club de Fútbol Training Camp and will go on a guided tour of the Estadio de la Cerámica where they will have access to the room where the UEFA Europa League is on display, the first team dressing room and the dugouts on the pitch for an unforgettable experience.
Villarreal CF's methodology crosses borders, creates opportunities for people from all over the world and unites cultures, it is a nexus of union and development.
