The British school enjoys its Training Camp at Villarreal CF's Ciudad Deportiva.
King Edward Morpeth is a high-performing secondary school located in Northumberland, a ceremonial county in the north-east of England, on the border with Scotland. The school defines itself as an inclusive, comprehensive and academically excellent school. The main objective is to prepare all students so that, once they finish school, they can go out into the world full of tools and values -among which respect, responsibility, affection, curiosity, motivation and resilience stand out- to face the challenges they face, always with a great sense of service to their communities.
The British expedition arrived in Vila-real last Tuesday with two teams of U-14 youngsters, one female and one male, full of enthusiasm and energy. On the first day, the footballers got to know first-hand the Ciudad Deportiva José Manuel Llaneza, had a training session and visited the Tour & Immersion of the Estadio de la Cerámica, where they experienced first-hand the more than 100 years that give meaning to the Yellow Submarine.
On the following two days, King Edward Morpeth students had a high-level experience with their Training Camp, training under the renowned methodology of Villarreal Club de Fútbol. The youngsters, guided by the Cantera Grogueta technical staff, improved their technical-tactical skills in a highly demanding and professional environment.
This type of international programme is a unique opportunity for personal and footballing growth, allowing participants to discover new cultures while enjoying their greatest passion: football.
