MARSHALLS PARK

Monday, 07 July 2025 09:00

The British school has an unforgettable experience at its Training Camp.

Marshalls Park Academy is a co-educational secondary school which opened in 1936 and has undergone extensions and improvements over the years. The school is located in Romford, a large town in the East of England, which is part of the borough of Havering and is one of the main metropolitan centres of Greater London. The academy is a reference in the country, as it has managed to create an enriching and self-reflective learning environment, where children grow under values such as resilience, curiosity, drive and ambition.

The British expedition is made up of 21 players aged 12 to 15 from two mixed teams at the school. The youngsters have not arrived alone, as 21 adults wanted to be part of the trip and live the experience together with the pupils. The players arrived in Vila-real on Saturday, where they had a first contact with the 'groguets' coaches and the facilities and started their Training Camp with a training session at the Ciudad Deportiva José Manuel Llaneza.

Sunday was a very special day. In the morning, the students enjoyed a new training session under the Villarreal CF methodology, and in the afternoon they lived an unforgettable experience touring the Estadio de la Cerámica through its Tour & Immersion, reliving the more than 100 years of history that give identity to the Yellow Submarine.

On Monday, the last day of the Training Camp, the students enjoyed the last training session with the Cantera Grogueta staff. In a fun and educational atmosphere, the young British players worked on technical, tactical and motor skills, paying attention to the needs of each player and improving all facets of the game. Finally, each student received an official personalised diploma as a souvenir and accreditation for participating in the event.

This type of experience is synonymous with growth and culture, as it creates links between both entities and gives children an insight into other realities through their passion: football.
