From Toronto, a Canadian club grows with an international vision, developing players and coaches through the Villarreal philosophy.
TOCA Pro FC is not just another club: it is a project that links local Toronto talent with the standards of one of Europe’s most respected academies. Through its official collaboration with Villarreal CF, every player and coach at TOCA Pro gains direct access to elite training methodologies, international tournaments, and training camps in Spain, creating a pathway that did not previously exist in Canada.
This will be their second participation in the Yellow Cup Easter, a tournament that brings together young talent from around the world. For TOCA Pro, the tournament is a chance to measure their growth, share their style, and show that Canada can develop footballers with technique, vision, and international ambition.
The project also has personal roots: academy director David Velastegui played alongside players like Tajon Buchanan in the Canadian youth national team and in League1 Ontario. Today, that experience translates into a program that combines local training with international opportunities, scholarships for promising talent, and a constant exchange of coaches with Villarreal CF.
From April 2 to 5, TOCA Pro FC will arrive at the Yellow Cup Easter with a clear philosophy:
open pathways, develop talent, and compete with Canadian pride.
