The Cantera Grogueta leads the way with talent, ambition and commitment

Villarreal Club de Fútbol is the first confirmed team for the upcoming edition of the Villarreal Yellow Cup Easter, which will take place from March 25 to 28, 2027, once again bringing together teams and youth academies from across Spain and around the world in Vila-real.

The Groguet side will take part as the host club and will compete in every category, turning the tournament into a new stage for the talent of the Cantera Grogueta and for the competitive development of its young players.

The club’s presence highlights Villarreal CF’s commitment to youth football and to the development of its young players. It will also provide different generations of the academy with the opportunity to enjoy four days of competition and team-building alongside clubs from a wide range of backgrounds.

In the previous 2026 edition, the Submarino claimed two titles, in the Infantil and Juvenil categories, while also finishing runners-up in three others: first-year Alevín, second-year Alevín and U16 Women’s.

The club’s participation therefore marks the starting point of a new edition of the Villarreal Yellow Cup Easter, which will once again bring youth football to the province of Castellón during the Easter holidays.
