ORAIN ETA BETI, GORA AURRERA!

CD Aurrera faithful to its appointment with the Villarreal Yellow Cup Easter.

Confirmed! Club Deportivo Aurrera from Vitoria returns to Vila-real to participate, one more year, in the exciting base soccer tournament organized by Villarreal Club de Fútbol at the Ciudad Deportiva José Manuel Llaneza.

CD Aurrera was founded in 1935 in Vitoria, capital of the Basque Country. Nobody knows for sure how it was born, but the story goes that, approximately 75 years ago, some youngsters used to meet in the Polvorín and Arana fields to kick a ball. Over time, these boys competed in tournaments in neighboring towns, but after the civil war, the red-and-red entity was forced to reach an agreement with Deportivo Alavés, who had been severely weakened, to cede all the players to the 'Babazorro' team. This example of solidarity was also the first stone of the base spirit that, today, represents Club Deportivo Aurrera.

After this period of forced inactivity, Aurelio Lasheras, one of the founders, began to select players on his walks through the fields of Arana, a neighborhood of Vitoria. After talking to the boys and remembering their past, they asked Aurelio to be their coach, and he only made one condition: that the team be called CD Aurrera. In this way, the red and red colors were revived, and today they can proudly say that they are one of the local youth soccer referents.

The fans from Vitoria are always among the most numerous at 'Submarino Amarillo' tournaments, a symbol of pride, passion and identity. The Villarreal Yellow Cup Easter provides the stage, CD Aurrera the dedication, talent and enthusiasm to represent a historic entity.
