Atlético Saguntino closes the line-up for the Villarreal Yellow Cup Easter 2025.

Confirmed! Atlético Saguntino, full of enthusiasm and passion, confirms its participation in the Villarreal Yellow Cup Easter, the international base football tournament organised by Villarreal Club de Fútbol, to be held from 17 to 20 April at the Ciudad Deportiva Jose Manuel Llaneza.

Atlético Saguntino was founded in 1922 in Sagunto, in the Valencian region of Camp de Morvedre, on the banks of the river Palancia. The club arose from the merger of Sagunto CD and Cova Club, two former teams that more than 100 years ago gave way to what is now known as the red and white squad.

The Roman team began to compete officially in 1925, but after two decades and after suffering a serious relegation, the Saguntinos disappeared from the competitive scene. The year 1951 is the year of the re-foundation, where thanks to the impulse of the fans, one of the greatest assets of the club, At. Saguntino returns to the Valencian football scene, where it will remain competing assiduously between the Preferente and the Third Division. The club's recent history is their most successful, as in the 2015/2016 season they were promoted to the now defunct Segunda División B and in 2017 they were crowned champions of the RFEF Cup.
