Record participation in the Villarreal Yellow Cup, the largest tournament in its history.

The festival of youth football is celebrated in Vila-real! The Villarreal Yellow Cup Easter closes its line-up and has everything ready for hundreds of youngsters to enjoy four days of the beautiful game. The competition, which will take place from 17 to 20 April, has 10 categories, from prebenjamín to youth, in which some 3,500 soccer players will fight to lift the prized 'Yellow Submarine'.

The event will feature 228 teams from 75 clubs from all over the world. Teams from EEUU, Canadá, Colombia, Perú, Puerto Rico, Kuwait, Andorra & Rumanía will leave their countries to join the Villarreal Yellow Cup Easter and enjoy a festive, fun and exciting atmosphere. Teams fromMadrid, Cataluña, el País Vasco, Cantabria, Islas Baleares, Canarias, Navarra, La Rioja, Castilla-La Mancha, Andalucía, Extremadura, Aragón & Comunitat Valenciana will represent their communities with the aim of leaving an indelible mark on the tournament.

The footballers, full of enthusiasm and passion, will compete in 10 sports facilities: Ciudad Deportiva José Manuel Llaneza, Ciudad Deportiva Pamesa Cerámica, CEM Pau Francisco Torres, CM Torre San Vicente, CM La Carrerassa, CF Intursport, CM Jose Manuel Pesudo, CM Les Boqueres, CM Fundación Flors & CM Les Alqueries. These sports facilities, which are already set up and ready, will host some of the best young international talent over the Easter weekend.

The competition will feature a grand opening party on Thursday 17 April from 19.00h to 20.00h at the yellow coliseum, the Estadio de la Cerámica, where the 228 participating teams will parade individually on the yellow turf. Nerves are running high and hundreds of children are anxious to experience the excitement of this incredible event first hand.
