After making its debut in last year’s edition, Academy OM23 will return this summer to the Villarreal Yellow Cup Summer, continuing the growth of a project that has quickly established itself within Valencian youth football.

The academy was founded in Valencia in 2023 under the direction of former footballer Omar Monterde, who brought his professional experience — after playing for clubs such as Levante UD, Valencia CF, CD Alcoyano, UD Melilla and Linares Deportivo, among others — into a model focused on the complete development of young players.

But OM23 aims to be much more than just a football academy. It has become an environment where every player matters, where closeness, togetherness and a strong sense of belonging are essential parts of daily life. The project is committed to creating real connections between players, families and coaches, understanding sport as a tool to shape people before footballers.

The bond between age groups and teams, gatherings away from the pitch and shared experiences are all part of the identity of an academy that seeks to create memories and lessons that will stay with its players for life.

On the pitch, OM23 continues to grow through a methodology focused on individual and collective improvement, preparing its footballers to compete in increasingly demanding environments while never losing the essence that defines the Valencian project.

Now, the Villarreal Yellow Cup Summer will once again become the perfect opportunity to continue growing, share international experiences and prove that behind every match there is also a family moving forward together.
