Nearly 8.000 people enjoyed a spectacular opening ceremony at the Cerámica Stadium.
The Cerámica Stadium hosted the official launch of the Villarreal Yellow Cup Summer in a ceremony that brought together more than 8,000 spectators in the stands of the home of the Yellow Submarine.
The 204 participating teams paraded onto the pitch carrying their flags, creating a colourful scene of unity and togetherness that filled the stadium with the true spirit of the tournament. As a new feature of this edition, the players remained on the field after the parade, allowing the more than 4,000 participants to gather together at the same time and creating an unforgettable image for everyone in attendance.
Throughout the event, players, coaches and organizers all highlighted respect as a fundamental pillar of the competition, a message that resonated throughout the ceremony.
One of the most memorable moments came with the appearance of Marcos Senna, ambassador of Villarreal CF, who welcomed all the teams and emphasized the core values of grassroots football.
With this ceremony, the tournament has been officially inaugurated and will give way tomorrow to the start of the competition, when the ball begins to roll across the different venues.
The evening concluded with a fireworks display above the Cerámica Stadium, providing a fitting finale to a day that marked the beginning of the Villarreal Yellow Cup Summer.
