The upcoming edition of the Villarreal Yellow Cup Summer will once again feature ATL Xpress FC, a United States-based academy returning to the tournament as it continues its commitment to competing in top-level international environments.
The American project works with players between the ages of 8 and 13, focusing much of its methodology on individual technical development, player confidence and passion for the game as key tools to maximize on-field performance.
Under the leadership of Josh Burns, ATL Xpress FC has developed a very recognizable identity based on a dominant style of play where ball possession, high pressing and tactical intelligence are essential parts of its competitive philosophy.
Its teams stand out for their quick ball circulation, combination play and attacking mentality aimed at controlling the tempo of matches. All of this is combined with a strong commitment to collective growth and the development of a powerful team spirit.
The academy also provides players with opportunities to compete in both domestic and international tournaments, allowing them to experience high-level football without interfering with their commitments to their home clubs.
After the experience gained last summer, ATL Xpress FC approaches this new participation in the Villarreal Yellow Cup Summer with greater maturity and with the ambition of continuing to grow against some of the most prominent clubs and academies on the international youth football stage.
