The CDO Marítima sets sail for the Villarreal Yellow Cup Easter.
All aboard! The Club Deportivo Orientación Marítima, a benchmark of base soccer on the island of Lanzarote, joins the list of teams that will fight to become champions in the tournament organized by Villarreal Club de Fútbol during the Easter week.
CDO Marítima, an entity founded in 1954, was born on the shores of Playa del Reducto. With a clear vocation for training, the red and blacks have been gradually building an identity that has led them to position themselves as a leading club in the island's youth soccer.
The 'Marítima' has teams from pre-benjamin to youth categories, including a senior women's team that plays in the 2nd RFEF. Effort, passion and teamwork are the values of the club and the basis for the growth of hundreds of boys and girls who enjoy soccer as a means of human development.
Lanzarote's team has nurtured the talent of the island's teams and several of its players have even played in the lower categories of the Canary Islands national youth team. In this commitment to training, CDO Marítima became one of the collaborating clubs of Villarreal CF Campus and Tournaments a few years ago, so the yellow submarine has taken its activities and methodology to Lanzarote.
The Villarreal Yellow Cup Easter is another challenge, it is a new opportunity to continue to unite ties between the red and yellow teams in a show where soccer, fun and talent come together. Is there a better event to shine all the talent that Club Deportivo Orientación Marítima has in its ranks?
Let the ball roll!
