Sestao River Club’s participation in the Villarreal Yellow Cup Summer reflects over a century of history and commitment to youth football development.

Founded in 1902 in Sestao (Bizkaia), Sestao River Club is one of the most historic institutions in Basque football. With Las Llanas stadium as a reference point and its youth academy based at the Galindo facilities, the club heads into the Villarreal Yellow Cup Summer, which will take place from June 25 to 28 across various Villarreal CF venues.

Currently, the club has 22 teams and more than 300 players competing every weekend in regional competitions across Bizkaia and the Basque Country. This structure reflects steady growth over time, supported by a philosophy that combines football development with personal education.

Their participation in the tournament represents an opportunity to showcase their training model in an international environment, where they will face clubs from different footballing backgrounds.
