The upcoming edition of the Villarreal Yellow Cup Summer will feature CF Nules, a club that forms part of the history of football in Castellón and arrives at the tournament proud to represent one of the province’s most traditional institutions.

The origins of federated football in Nules date back to 1931, when the former F.C. Nules was officially registered with the Valencian Football Federation. Since then, generations of players, families and supporters have helped build an identity deeply connected to the town.

During its early years, the club played at the historic Campo del Calvario and produced some of the most memorable chapters in provincial football. Among them stands out the 1935 Regional Championship, won after a remarkable 6-1 victory over CD Burriana at Mestalla Stadium, one of the club’s greatest achievements before football activity was interrupted by the Spanish Civil War.

Today, almost a century later, CF Nules remains true to its essence as a family-oriented club where youth development continues to be one of the cornerstones of the project. The club remains committed to developing young footballers while promoting values such as effort, commitment, respect and a strong sense of belonging.

The Villarreal Yellow Cup Summer will now offer its young players the opportunity to continue writing new chapters in the club’s history while sharing competition and experiences with some of the most respected academies and youth clubs from around the world.
