The Villarreal Yellow Cup Summer welcomes the participating teams and has everything ready to kick off a new edition, where good football, sportsmanship and passion will take over the streets of Vila-real for four unforgettable days. The competition, organised by Villarreal Club de Fútbol, will be held from 26th to 29th June and will bring together some of the best talents on the planet in an unbeatable setting: the Estadio de la Cerámica.
The Yellow Submarine's summer tournament breaks all records. With a total of ten categories in competition, 172 teams from all corners of the world and five top-level sporting venues -including the Estadio de la Cerámica, the Ciudad Deportiva José Manuel Llaneza, the Ciudad Deportiva Pamesa Cerámica, the CEM Pau Francisco Torres and the Ciudad Deportiva FACSA- the event has established itself as one of the major international youth football events.
The participating teams arrived in Vila-real throughout the day where coordinators from the organisation welcomed them at their respective hotels and helped them at all times. In this first contact, the players, full of enthusiasm and excitement, have received a Welcome Pack Team that includes the accreditation bracelet, a postcard and the accreditation. For their part, the supporters, who will fill the venues with life, emotion, encouragement and a lot of love, will have to 'fight' for their gift: the trophy for the best fan, an award that will reward the most lively, creative and dedicated supporters.
Today, after checking in, all participants moved to the Estadio de la Cerámica, where from 19.30h to 20.30h they paraded on the grass of the yellow stadium to experience in their own flesh the opening party, the event that kicks off the competition and brings together thousands of boys and girls flying their colors. The celebration kicked off in the Estadio de la Cerámica box with an exclusive welcome cocktail that served as a prelude to the parade and the subsequent ceremony.
